We first heard about the LA Drone Expo, when I saw a billboard as I was driving up to LA from San Diego, funny enough to film some aerial work.
I initially thought “Cool! I’ll have to look that up”. I must admit I quickly forgot about it. But over the past few weeks, I had more and more people asking me if I was attending. It was during this time that I thought I would take another look into it, and I’m glad I did.
I’m now happy to say that I’ll be attending as press and will be covering the event on my Instragram and of course here on my blog also. The event takes place on December 13th, 2014 in LA at the Memorial Sports Area. It looks to be a well put together event organised by the UAV Systems Association.
There will be 40 exhibitors and 20 speakers throughout the day. The event is open do the general public, and not restricted to industry professionals as we tend to find with electronic expos such as CES. This is great as there is a fly area which will allow anyone to experience flying a drone / UAV / quadcopter, etc.
There will be the big players where such as DJI, and we can’t wait to see their new Inspire1 in person. We’re a big fan of their products, but it will also be great to see their competition.
As well as talking and showing off products there will be many talks throughout the day, and covering drone use in areas such as survey, first response, agriculture, mining, wildlife preservation, and of course, film!
Check back to our blog soon for our coverage and thoughts of the show.
